Bed Sheets White Wash

A final wash with just bleach.

When laundering your bed linens add half a cup of baking soda with your detergent at the beginning of the wash cycle. For even more brightening power presoak your white bedding in a bathtub or large sink filled with warm water and cup of vinegar. When you re laundering a load of white bedding be mindful of how much detergent you re using. And if you have the extra time then this may be a great option.

But unless you re a recent lottery winner you probably don t have a closet full of extra bedding to replace towels and sheets damaged from over washing. You can probably guess that washing your white sheets with the goal of keeping them soft and white takes a higher standard of care than say washing old t shirts or towels. That distinct odour will rinse out. Wash with laundry detergent.

These two natural whiteners also have a softening effect so you can skip the fabric softener. Baking soda and vinegar can safely be used for every regular wash this will help keep your bed linens white and bright. Then at the start of the rinse cycle pour in half a cup of white vinegar don t worry. Wash your bedding at the right temperature.
